I took this sample from a phone message. I did use a live feed,(from the headset output on my phone, through a cable into my digital recorder. ) but it is very soft. When i tried recording with out the live feed, i couldn't even find the noise again. It could definitely use to be amped up a bit.

Still from a phone conversation, but this one sounds like a dart hitting a dartboard. It is in c, although it is so short it really doesn't matter.

A recording that i did on a shoot for some ambient sound while in a small 10' motor boat. The motor runs for a little while but then turns off and the sound of the boat just floating in the water can be heard. The mic is moved around a bit to get a few samples of different perspectives.

Walking around my neighborhood with a luggage/trolley. Sometimes continuous, but also with bumps and stops. Different surfaces. Some cars and planes go by, you may need to cut around them. Rode ntg2 + zoom h4nno processing.

I strapped an h6 to the frame of a rickety fixed-gear bicycle with no shock absorbers on either wheel. I rode this around a shipping container yard near ahmedabad, on a gritty surface made up of interlocking concrete tiles. Close mic-ed.

Rootsy solo mandolin cue, part of a "matched set" to be used in different places in a podcast, radio show, or video. The set contains segments from a second or two up to about a minute, to be used for cues, hits, bumps, interstitials and voiceovers. The music is a roundback mandolin from 1900 improvising in the key of g. The feel is uptempo, traditional, natural, organic, old time, americana. I'd be grateful for feedback on what worked and what didn't. How is the sound quality? are there lengths of cue that you needed that weren't here?. I've encountered fantasicly squeaky screws when putting together an mdf cabinet. The screws were driven with a scredriver into pre-puchend holes in an mdf panel. Recorded with zoom h1 at 96khz / 24-bit. Converted to flac using sox. No processing or editing was performed for maximum flexibility nad retaiging highest quality. Also out of laziness. Enjoy!.
